Chico Theatre Company is heavy on the musicals, and operates a children’s workshop, the CTC Rising Stars. Dr. Seuss related works are especially popular. Sessions for young thespians ages 4-7 run $75 and it’s $175 for those 8-16. The summer programs culminate in plays open to the public.

 

Blue Room Theatre
upstairs at 139 W. First St., 895-3749
The Blue Room includes kids’ programs in the form of the Blue Room Theatre Young Company. Two plays performed by children are planned for July 2008.

 

Chico Cabaret
2201 Pillsbury Rd. (Almond Orchars Shopping Center), 895-0245
Kids productions take place at Chico Cabaret, too. Teens are especially involved.
